More of You by A.L. Jackson - Now Live!!

My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs . . .
The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.

A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.

My heart warned me. I didn’t listen. I saw something protective and good beneath the fierce, tough exterior.

I fell hard and fast. He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.

Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door. Sexier than he’s ever been. Provocative and commanding. Successful and powerful.

The man I always knew he would become.

But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again. Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.

Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.

Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .

Review:

Jace Jacobs left Faith Linbrock years ago because he was a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who thought she deserved better than him for various reasons. He left even though he loved her with all his heart and even though he knew she was completely in love with him.

When Jace comes back to town after a tragedy has befallen Faith, he comes back telling himself he is only there to protect her, see her through her dark times, and help in any way he can, as he feels responsible for all of the pain in Faith's life. There are dangerous secrets surrounding Faith, threatening her life and the lives of those she cares about; secrets that she doesn't understand about the past, which Jace is a large part of.

I really liked this book. Jace was just perfection. There are flashbacks that allow the reader to see the beginning of Jace and Faith's history and from the very beginning and it is really easy to understand how Faith fell for him so easily way back in the day. These two characters had a complicated history and it takes an emotional toll on both of them. The love is still there, however, even if it is a scary thing for both of them to admit.

This author's writing style is like poetry from beginning to end. The feels are all here in this book, so prepare yourself for an emotional, beautiful read. I'm so glad this is only the first book in this series because I have so much to look forward to!
